National Mathematics Olympiad
The NMO (National Mathematics Olympiad) is a means to identify and encourage the mathematical creativity of children in schools across India and abroad.
Students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to appear for the NMO. There is no other eligibility criterion like minimum marks.
The participant has to answer 50 questions in 60 minutes.
Section I: Logical and Analytical Reasoning (20 questions)
Section II: Mathematical reasoning (20 questions)
Section III: Everyday mathematics (10 questions)
Exam date: December
Syllabus of respective class covered in CBSE and ISEC.
Awards & recognition:
Participation Certificate is given to every student. Merit Certificate for students appearing in second level. School Math Genius Medal is awarded to the class topper (with minimum 10 enrolments in the class concerned) in each participating school.
